American Black Bear
The American Black Bear is the smallest type of bear in North America and also the most common bear species in the area. They have an even more varied diet as they eat vegetation, roots, buds, fruit, nuts, insects, fish, mammals, and even carrion. They grow anywhere between 120 and 200 centimeters long and weigh between 39 and 409 kilos. There are a total of 16 different subspecies roaming around in North America, which is the reason why the weight varies quite a bit on average.
