Harold Russell won two Oscars for the same role
While Harold Russell did not have many acting credits in his career, he did accomplish an impressive feat for one of them. For his role in the film The Best Years of Our Lives in 1946, he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Interestingly enough, he also won an honorary Oscar for “bringing aid and comfort to disabled veterans through the medium of motion pictures.”
