Pads
The first sanitary pads were used to stop soldiers from bleeding out on the battlefield during the war. The genius that saved thousands of lives with this nifty product was none other than Benjamin Franklin. Franklin’s sanitary pads also inspired the creation of paper napkins which helped two Johnson brothers start their little-known company — Johnson & Johnson in 1888.
